Généralement je n'ai pas de chance aux jeux..Mais apparemment, Mlle Valentine du blog hello it's valentine me porte un peu bonheur...En effet, c'est la deuxieme fois que je gagne un concours sur son blog! Cette fois ci j'ai eu la chance de gagner un album des Beetles, un caba et un poster!

J'ai fait un croquis très rapide sur mon ipad mais je maitrise pas encore trop l'objet..

Some of you might already know it, about a year ago i started working as a freelance graphic designer for for Levi Strauss kids Europe. I absolutely adore working for that brand, i met amazing people and learned a lot since i started there!

Some of the first designs i made for them just came out for this summer..

I am totally excited to see them in stores!

Hello all!
I hope you had a merry and bright holiday! Mine was great, I took a little break from the world leaving computer & wacom at home and turning off my cellphone..and it felt good! I enjoyed spending sone times with my family in the Alps. Now I am back for more work, drawing and other creative experiences...This is my first blog post from my new Applebaby, my iPad...hope it works!

Even though we had two Pumpkins (that we forgot to carve) and that we love candies, we did not celebrate Halloween this year..However, i hope you guys had ~~a great~~ horrifying week end!

Sorry for my lack of post guys, i've been a bit busy those past weeks.
But there are a few things i would like to share with you.
First i had the luck to participate to the Fashion Week Illustrée. It's a really cool concept, that consist of having some illustrators with very different styles giving their version of Fashion Designers styles during the Paris Fashion Week. (is that clear enough?) Well, i am not sure i can really explain the concept very well so i invite you to look at what we have done! (See Below)

Nous sommes deja mi octobre et j'avoue que je n'ai même pas vu l'été passer..
Il y a deux trois projets dont je voulais vous parler cependant.
J'ai eu la chance de participer à La Fashion Week Illustrée 4 aux coté de tres talentueux illustrateurs!
Mais ça je vous en avais parlé dans mon dernier post!

Thanks to this project, i had the opportunity to have my illustration exhibited at the Westin Hotel really gergeous place situated in the heart of Paris, between les Tuileries and la Place Vendôme. You can see an article talking about it here . If you are around, it will be in display till Ocotober 28th =)

De ce projet à suivit la superbe opportunité d'avoir cette illustration exposée dans l'Hotel Westin, à deux pas de la place Vendôme et des Tuileries. Superbe lieu, j'avoue j'étais un peu toute "zému". Merci beaucoup Amylee et The ManagUer pour cette super soirée-opportunité. Merci aussi à Repro-tableaux.com ainsi qu'à L'Hotel Westin.

Finally, I am a part of another exhibit here in Paris (48 rue d'Orsel in the 18th District) where i illustrated the King, Queen and Jack of Diamonds . It will be displayed till November 27th.

AAHHHH je peux enfin vous dévoiler un des projets auquel je participe! Je suis super honorée d'avoir été choisi pour participer à la Fashion Week Illustré #4 !!!! i found this dress online on the asos website recently and totally fell in love with it, i love the colors, the shape & the print..But it's NOT on sale yet!!! Well, at least it will give me time to think if i really need it or not..

il y a quelques jours J'ai trouvé par hasard sur le site asos cette jolie robe..J'ai tout de suite flashé dessus, J'adore les couleurs, l'imprimé et la forme! Seul souci, elle n'est pas encore en vente! Au moins, ça me laisse quelques temps pour reflechir si j'ai vraiment besoin d'une robe en plus...

A quick sketch i made while waiting for my files to upload (i had a VERY bad internet connection last week, that made me realize how much i NEED it!) It's very much inspired of the picture from Anthropologie (one of my fav' US store, in case you would not already have understood...)
Also, i realized that for a girl who liked to claim that she doesn't like Pink, i use it quite often...hehe

Ce dessin est inspiré d'un des emails d'Anthropologie (un de mes magasins preferé aux US) .
J'ai aussi réalisé que j'utilise souvent du rose, logique pour une fille qui dit ne pas aimer cette couleur.....(non moi non plus je ne me comprends pas toujours..)

...i dreamed we all had crazy colored hair but all that was totally natural..Like we would all be born with pink, teal, or even sparkly hair..I know it can sound very crazy but everything seemed a lot more joyful in my dream hehe

So yeah if i had to pick one color i think i would want my hair light pink...What would be yours?

I love playing with my hair, dying them, cutting them myself etc.. (i know i shouldnt..)
I think it all started when my mom forgot to cut my bang in 1st grade and i had to cut it myself in class because i couldn't see clearly... I can guaranty you that the result was not pretty but it open my mind to a lot of hair possibilities ;)

This store used to be a little bit my second home when I was living in California. If you don't know it yet, it's a little bit the temple of colors and patterns. I love pretty much everything about it, the clothes, the mood, the window displays... Everything in it is just very creative and poetic and it's a very good place to hang out and get inspired.
Right now, there are summer sales in the european store (that only exist in the UK so far) and i'm really tempted to buy some clothes online.

So, last week-end i spent three days in the Uk. I totally enjoyed this little trip and i totally hope i will be able to go back to the Uk pretty soon... (and why not to move there..) Brighton was really cute, a bit (=really) windy and rainy but oh well we dealt with it ^^
I hadn't spoken english for real in a very long time so i felt a bit rusty sometimes..I particularly loved their accent, and how even if they would curse at you they would sound nice and polite hehe (i'm just assuming coz they didn't do it to me...)

This is my version of the King Arthur...

We visited the Royal Pavilion in Brighton (see here) that was built for the King Georges IV. This place is totally surreal!!! Unfortunately, i didn't take any picture inside since it's strictly forbidden...But i can tell you that i never saw something that crazy before... (for a royal palace..)

During all the hours spent on the road (we got stuck in a 3-4hours traffic jam) we saw so many rabbits & lambs!! super cute!

Of course we went shopping, and we had some tea in a warm tiny cozy place while watching residents walking in shorts, flip flop & umbrella under the very heavy rain...Did I mentioned it rained? well, it's weird but i was not even annoyed by it, i guess it's the effect England has on me..

So, this week, I went to a recording of a TV show , to a denim trend show, i got a big cold with fever (that i still kinda have..) AND i bought a NEW computer!!!! It has been a long time i wanted to buy an imac with a bigger screen and since my laptop is not going so well i decided that it was now or never..
It's been only a day but i'm already in love with it. It's kinda hard to use the french keyboard again though..
i need to find it a name! any suggestion?

La semaine derniere, je suis allée voir cette superbe exposition de Madame Grès au musee Bourdelle (pres de Montparnasse)avec mon amie Marie-Laure. Des robes qui font rever dans un tres joli musée (avec un jardin tres paisible!) Si vous etes sur Paris, et que vous aimez la mode, courez-y! C'est jusqu'au 24 juillet!

Last week, i went to see a beautiful exhibit with my friend Marie-Laure at the Musée Bourdelle in Paris. If you come to the city before July the 24Th you should totally go see it!

So, this is week, i m "dog sitting" Bouli, my sister's dog.
This dog has too much love to share sometimes, he's a little bit like Dug in Up, except that he doesn't speak...yet...
Since it's super cold outside, i let him inside the house. He is supposed to stay on the carpet in the entrance but he doesn't! Especially when i eat...

Cette semaine je garde le chien de ma soeur, Bouli.
Chien tres sympatique, débordant d'amour mais pas tout a fait obeissant...Surtout quand il y a de la nouriture dans le coins...

last week, i went to visit my nephew and my niece (who are almost 3 years old)
i was still kinda sick and had almost no voice left but they made me read tons of stories, which i usually really like to do but this time it was hard because of my Darth Vader sound-a-like-voice... They got their first umbrella that day, therefor they played with it all day long.

La semaine derniere, je suis allée rendre visite a mon neveu et ma niece de presque trois ans (aka les grumeaux).
Je leur ai lu quelques histoires, ce qu'en temps normale j'adore faire. Mais la, j'avoue avec ma voix de Dark Vador c'etait pas top...
Ils avaient eu leur premier parapluie ce jour la et du coup se sont promenés partout avec dans la maison (heureusement, on et pas superstitieux hehe)

for my first winter back in France, i have to say it s a little bit icing on the cake..I m really enjoying watching this snow fall! However, i have to say that i m totally scared to fall with this icy snow everywhere (7cm - 2&3/4" today)..but it's alright =)

On peut dire que pour mon premier hiver en France (apres ces 3 ans de no-season) je suis servie! 7cm de neige tombée dans Paris aujourd'hui! J'apprecie vraiement de voir tomber ces gros flocons, le tout est de ne pas tomber apres dans la rue!

I can't believe that it is already over!
I've had the time of my life there, met the most amazing people and realized 3 of my dreams: live in US, Be pretty much fluent in english, and work for the big mouse..
& hopefully, i ll live there again one day! (fingers crossed)

Now, it's time to re-learn to live in Europe & find a job! (not super easy with this economy..)

i havn't really had time for anything recently, just because i started an awesome internship at the Walt Disney Consumer Products about 6 weeks ago (already!!!!!) everything is great and i sill can't believe it.. but when i go home every night i dont have the energy to spend more time on a computer so this is just a quick doodle... i have been wanting to go on a photo exploring adventure recently...

recently, an art supplies store, near where i live, was having a big sales...i bought so many pencils that i had to make my own pencil case to carry them all =)

no no i m not saying happy birthday to myself even if it's today...the thing is that just 12 years ago i was an aunt for the second time! so my nephew and i are kinda twins..[except that we were born 12years apart and don't have the same mother..) but we kinda look a like in some ways..
Unfortunately i am a very bad aunt and this year i almost forgot to make a birthday card for him...and i realized that 15min before the big day..so this is what i came up with..it s really quickly done sorry...
(and this is a sky rocket because i know he likes astrology, aliens and other thing like this...)

Bon je suis pas une super bonne tata depuis quelques temps et j'avais presque oublié de lui faire une petite illu..je m'en suis appercu a 23h45 donc j'ai eu moins d'un quart d'heure pour trouver une idée...donc voila c'est pas top top mais joyeux anniversaire quand meme (j'espere que ca te plairas mon roudoudou (oui je te fous la honte sur le net hehe!)

my parents sent me a package from France with some magazines and kinder (chocolate egg with a toy inside..) it's been almost 11month that i havn't seen my country so this kind of surprise is always really cool!

so, basically this is how it happened...
Last saturday night, i was on my way to my car to go to one of my friend's birthday when suddenly i met one of my "wild neighbor"...He actually did not talk to me like in the drawings but he really gave me a nice "present" that stayed on me for hours and had me go to cvs during the night to buy chemical products in order to eliminate this horrible odor...
I never thought this would happen to me and never saw or smelled a skunk before but now it's done! i will never ever forget that day i think...
And even if i dont smell like a skunk anymore, i m still totally traumatized by the smell and the fact that i had to through away my shoes and clothes!!! =(

so, sorry for the bad quality of those drawings, but i think you will understand that i didnt want to spend too much time on it..

ps= THANKS a lot to my neighbor, Lorraine, who helped me getting rid of this smell..
